Zara Foroohar Schindler

Founder of Presto Test Prep

Originally from rural New Hampshire, Zara Foroohar Schindler graduated with honors from Harvard University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies.  A non-traditional student, she graduated in the top 10th percentile of her class and was inducted into the Phi Beta Honors Society.  During her time at Harvard, Zara worked as a teaching assistant and a Faculty Aide in the Department of Mathematics, where she helped organize and run a Seminar for First Year Harvard College students.  Following her graduation, Zara completed her Master’s degree at the University of Oxford in 2022 where she wrote her dissertation on the intersection of medicine and literature in Ancient Greek Tragedy.  Zara is currently a first-year medical student at Weill Cornell Medical College.

 

Zara is passionate about education and has worked with hundreds of students as a test prep tutor, course assistant, and university faculty aide.  Her past positions include the Art of Problem Solving mathematics academy, Harvard College, and MCAT Mastery Test Prep.   With her extensive experience, Zara feels comfortable working with students of all backgrounds, and looks forward to helping every student achieve success.

Danyi Wang

Senior Tutor

Danyi Wang graduated from Northwestern University Class of 2022 with an B.A. in Classics and biological sciences. After graduation, she worked at the National Institute of Health as a post-baccalaureate researcher in a structural biology and vaccine lab. She is currently a first-year medical student at Washington University School of Medicine where she hopes to become a pediatrician to serve children in a medical setting. Outside of work, she enjoys kickboxing with friends, reading classical literature, and playing with her cat, Angel (who is often anything but angelic). 

 

From high school to now, Danyi has worked with over 50 students from diverse backgrounds as a SAT Exam Prep tutor or general academic tutor. When working with her students, Danyi strives to engage them in a personalized way, provide them with help while challenging them to learn, and explain concepts in a way that leads to understanding.

Carl Ho

Senior Tutor

Carl Ho graduated from Harvard University in 2024 with a joint B.A in Chemistry and Physics, and Computer Science. He is currently a first year medical student at Washington University in St. Louis. As an undergraduate, Carl took on various teaching positions in STEM courses in organic chemistry and in computer science, where he had the opportunity to teach in structured review sessions and in one-on-one office hours. Outside of academics, Carl enjoys resistance training, cooking and baking, singing, and making ceramics.

 

In addition to his teaching positions, Carl has tutored various levels of science courses extensively throughout college. His teaching philosophy is student-centered and subscribes to the mantra of “learn by doing." He applies this approach flexibly, adapting and personalizing questions and problems to ensure conceptual mastery.

Senior Tutor

Matthew Yuan graduated from Duke University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. He is currently a student at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. In his free time, Matthew enjoys hiking, playing tennis, and spoiling his cats — Bear and Turtle. 

 

Matthew has tutored high school and college students in SAT, SAT Subject, and MCAT test prep. Additionally, he has helped them through college and medical school admissions processes, including application and interview support and enrichment. He looks forward to getting to know and working with you!

Sarah Kim

Senior Tutor

Sarah Kim graduated with honors from Northwestern University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and Global Health. She is a research technologist at the Center for Sleep and Circadian Biology at Northwestern University and plans to attend medical school. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing tennis, and trying out new recipes!

 

At Northwestern, Sarah worked as a peer-guided study group mentor, tutoring college students in biology and chemistry. She continues to adopt new teaching strategies to best suit the learning style of each of her students. She looks forward to getting to know her students!

Math Tutor

Ziye Wang is currently a sophomore at Northwestern University pursuing a Bachelors of Arts in Computer Science. A recipient of the Scholastic Gold Medal for Art and the Susan Phillips Award for music, Ziye's dynamic approach to learning and creativity extends beyond the classroom. As a mentor with CovEducation, she has shared her passion for math and computer science, guiding students with a commitment to making challenging concepts accessible and engaging.

Outside academics, Ziye explores campus life through her lens as a photographer for Northwestern’s premier student newspaper, and is eagerly working to launch her app startup. At Presto Test Prep, she aims to build meaningful connections with her students, guiding them towards their academic goals.

Christopher Lee

Senior Tutor

Christopher graduated with honors from Northwestern in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience. After graduation, he worked at the Center of Sleep and Circadian Biology focusing on the effects of light on circadian rhythms and behavior. Recently, Christopher graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden with a Master’s of Science in Architectural Lighting Design where he wrote his dissertation on the Effects of Lighting on the Perception of Time and is currently bridging the gap between circadian health and architectural design.

​

Christopher loves learning new skills ranging from employing soccer tactics to writing music. This curiosity has informed his approach to learning and teaching. From battling adversity to learning how to learn, he believes that his success as a teacher comes from helping young adults be the best versions of themselves in and outside of the classroom.
